Over forty members of the bodies of the local police and the Guardia Civil in the Northwest Region met today in Employment, Training and Equal Caravaca de la Cruz Municipal Center to attend a training seminar on gender violence .
"This action, planned the Local Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence that regularly meets at City Hall, serves to reinforce our commitment to the fight against gender violence, working on prevention, improved detection possible cases early and making more effective care to victims ", as declared by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by Director General of Prevention of Domestic Violence and Youth of the Autonomous Community, Veronica Lopez, during the opening of the days.
The conference was held under the title "Analysis and improvement in processing procedures."
During the meeting, the chief intervened Organic Unit of the Judicial Police, Beatriz Venet captain, the judge of the court of first instance of Caravaca, Carmen Alcayne, the head of the Unit for the Prevention of Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in Murcia, Cristina García, and Councilwoman Women and Social Development in the City of Caravaca, Carmen Ruiz, among others.
As for the contents, have been brought to the table different aspects such as the functions of the Centre for the Care of Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI), the offenses, protective, electronic tracking devices, prisons and prison leave permissions, visual inspection or counsel in the complaint.
Caravaca de la Cruz has since last year with the Local Coordination Committee against Gender Violence, which includes representatives from the departments of Social Welfare, Education, Health and Youth, bodies and security forces, the Court of First Instance and Services health.
Moreover, from the CAVI Caravaca psychological care, legal and social services to victims of violence is provided.
