The money raised from the sale will go to the Spanish Foundation to Fight Leukemia
The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, in collaboration with the Cajamurcia Foundation has published a tribute book dedicated to historian Gregorio Sánchez Romero.
The publication, entitled "Passion for Caravaca," will be presented on Friday, March 21, at 20.30 in the auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura.
"With this book we want, firstly, thank Gregoio and your family the important legacy left to us through research, books and articles and, second, that future generations may know caravaqueños work from our historians Top Rated "said the mayor, Domingo Aranda, in one of the articles that are published in the book.
In the book are compiled articles written by Gregorio Sánchez Romero on various topics such as geography, history, art and own traditions Caravaca de la Cruz.
The publication also includes a second part consists of writings of people and institutions that were closely linked to Gregorio, among which the Confraternity of the Blessed and Vera Cruz, Alfonso X "The Wise", Academy school San Juan de the Cross and the Society of "Arm".
The honoree's son, Victor Manuel Sanchez Tudela, is responsible for the book preface.
The money raised from the book sale will go to the Spanish Foundation for Leukemia.
The first edition consists of 500 copies, which can be purchased at the event Friday at the price of 10 euros.
D. GREGORIO SANCHEZ-ROMERO BIOGRAPHY (1948-2013).
Ravaqueños son and grandson, born on April 25, 1948 in Vélez Blanco (Almería).

He brings his professional experience at the University of Distance Education Caravaca as history teacher.
His dynamism and involvement with the city led him to participate in politics in the ranks of the extinct CDS party was local president and councilman.
His serious and systematic research work has led him to edit multiple articles published books and magazines most of them related to our city.
He began studying local history as a member of the Geography and History of the late Municipal Cultural Institute of which he was director.
His relationship with the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy and Vera Cruz de Caravaca has led him to play various positions in the institution.
He was a member of the Royal Academy "Alfonso X el Sabio" of Murcia.
