The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has funded 18,000 euros to the local offices of Caritas.
Councilwoman Women, Family and Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz Mulero, today presented checks to representatives of such charity based in the parishes of El Salvador, San Francisco and La Concepción.
This support is part of the agreement that keeps the Consistory caravaqueño with Caritas to assist in meeting the basic needs of vulnerable families and social exclusion.
Mulero Ruiz explained that assistance is delivered in two annuities and highlighted the crucial role played by volunteers of Caritas, along with Red Cross on behalf of the most disadvantaged, with words of thanks to them for their "struggle constant and altruistic social inclusion for people who need it most right now. "
The grant will mostly destined to the food bank that managed charity.
Moreover, the Department of Social Development provides an annual grant of 6,000 euros to a hospice of Caravaca.
