The Governing Council of the Autonomous Community has today authorized the Ministry of Health and Social Policy to allocate 782,315 euros for maintaining care services to women victims of violence provided by municipalities Eagles, Sewer, Alhama de Murcia, Archena , Caravaca de la Cruz and Cartagena.
Specifically, the City of Caravaca de la Cruz will receive the amount of 48,553 euros to keep the Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI), which serves all users of the Northwest Region.
"This is in addition to the 12,000 euros annually contributes caravaqueño Consistory", as reported by Councilwoman Women, Family and Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz.
With this service, articulated through the Network of Centres of Care (CAVI), it is intended that women victims of domestic violence are able to overcome the effects of abuse and face life independently.
The aim is to provide them with social skills and psychological stability necessary for it.
Caravaca de la Cruz has since 2006 a Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence currently located at Training Center, Equality and Employment Diego Cortes Street, next to the garden of The Cejo.

The CAVI of Caravaca de la Cruz, a team led by a social worker, lawyer and psychologist, attended last year's 40 new users.
Since its launch, more than 500 women in the Northwest region that have received attention in this service.
