IU-Greens Caravaca has filed a motion in Parliament next by urging the City Council to call on the Ministry of Education to keep the school meal service in the summer holidays.
The training has ensured that many families in the municipality suffer lack of means to feed, which particularly affects children.
In this regard, he noted that in some cases the school meals become an "essential" element for small eat at least once a day.
He also insisted that public institutions have an obligation to defend the rights of people, "and the food is a fundamental right that must be protected."
The motion also calls for the development of an information campaign to allow access to free school meals in the summer with older children needs time.
