The Alfami Foundation has awarded a total of 102 scholarships for the academic year 2013/2014 for a total amount of 25,960 euros.
Economic aid has been distributed among elementary students caravaqueños (19 scholarships), Secondary (35 scholarships), High School and Vocational Training (25 scholarships) and college (23 scholarships).
The Alfami Foundation is primarily intended as expressly set their statutes and faithfully following the will of founder Alfonso López Álvarez expressed in his will, "give light to privileged and intelligence obscured by the lack of financial resources through grants scholarships to facilitate the completion their studies. The scholarship recipients are nominated by the directors of the schools in the municipality, taking into account the academic record and the family situation.
