A group of amateur cyclists caravaqueños is relizando the Camino de la Vera Cruz.
They will travel on two wheels the 800 kilometers that separate the Navarra town of Puente la Reina and Caravaca de la Cruz, a journey divided into eleven stages.
The pilgrimage have begun Fernando Arias and Jose Lopez, Raul and Javier Marín Molina brothers, with jerseys with the logos of the Way of the True Cross and the Holy Year 2017.
"After doing the Camino de Santiago, we hope to complete the Camino de la Vera Cruz and is proving a great experience for the good signaling path and the beautiful places as we discover," said one member Marín Molina family.
In subsequent stages we'll be adding more caravaqueños the pilgrimage and the arrival in Caravaca de la Cruz is scheduled for August 2.
Last June, were members of the Association of Friends of the Bike Murcia (BiciMur) who performed the second time the path of the Way of the Cross.
This time with the aim of opening a new avenue of pilgrimage road to complement the current signaled by rural roads.
El Camino de la Vera Cruz relies on traditional routes linking major different parts of the route, spanning almost one hundred municipalities in the autonomous community of Navarre, Aragon, Valencia, Castile-La Mancha and Murcia.
This route, besides serving pilgrimage route, allows its use by others motivated by a cultural or sporting interest, which is a source of opportunities for socio-economic development of the territories through and for the recovery of their natural heritage and culture.
