The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the Department of Education has awarded prizes to caravaqueños extraordinary students who have completed their high school studies, Vocational and Specialised Education.

In response to the statements of the head of the area, Carmen Ruiz Mulero, "is an initiative which is intended continuity and aims to stimulate interest in the study and acknowledge the perseverance, effort and performance."

For the grant of these awards, the Department of Education has created a selection board made up of directors of the Conservatory of Music and institutes Gines Perez Chirinos Secondary, San Juan de la Cruz and Oróspeda, who were responsible for proposing the Students awarded in accordance with the bases and grade point average.

Thus, the selection board was unanimously agreed to grant special awards for the academic year 2013/2014 young caravaqueños Daniel Martinez Moreno (School of Science and Technology), Ana Giménez Sang (School of Humanities and Social Sciences), Maria Alba Celdrán Valera (Bachelor of Arts, Performing Arts, Music and Dance) and José Manuel García Marín (Higher Vocational Training).

Students will receive a certificate and a prize of 250 euros each.

The Department of Education plans to deliver the same in a public ceremony on September, coinciding with the opening of the academic year 2014-2015.
