34 caravaqueños are doing the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage consisted of 5 stages and about 115 kilometers.
It is an initiative by the Department of Sports City of Caravaca de la Cruz and funded by the participants in the pilgrimage.
"The good acceptance we have gained with the Municipal Hiking Program, which has compredido different routes through mountainous areas near our town, encouraged us to push this experience on the Camino de Santiago", as stated by the Councillor for Sports Emilio Perez, who wanted to highlight the collaboration of the Confraternity of the Blessed and Vera Cruz and the City Council itself to be an activity of tourist and sporting character and thirty participants help promote Caravaca de la Cruz during the various stages of I walk.
