Councillor for Urban Development in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz, Salvador Gomez, had a meeting with architects, engineers and surveyors caravaqueños to analyze the updating of the Special Plan of Protection and Internal Reform of the Old Town (PERIP) and collect their suggestions and concerns.
"This meeting with technicians from the town is part of the sectoral meetings that are calling for a participatory process is generated and all parties involved are aware of the document and to contribute ideas," said the councilman, accompanied by the architect who directed the writing of the PERIP Joaquin Pozo.
From the Department of Urban Development must consider the momentum of a new Special Interior Reform Plan and the Old Town Protection for both property owners and those who want to start a business in a better position to opt for European funds and grants Housing Plan.
The plan includes an analysis of over 1,800 properties in the historic setting of Caravaca, cataloging items to keep, those that must be corrected and guidelines to encourage housing rehabilitation.
It also analyzes social, demographic, historical and environmental factors.
In short, the PERIP provides guidelines for conservation and rehabilitation projects and expedite licensing
The documentation, drawings and records the progress of PERIP adopted at the plenary session last July, is available for inspection at the municipal website www.caravaca.org.
