The City of Caravaca de la Cruz is conducting a traveling exhibition tour with historic maps and plans of the municipality for schools.
"After conducting numerous educational and guided students from the town in the Jesuit visits, activity was held at the IES Oróspeda of Archivel and La Almudema and soon will move to Barranda", as detailed Councillor for Culture, Maria Cruz Perez.
The exhibition consists of eight panels of text and reproductions thirty ink drawings and original drawings kept in the Archives of the Army of Madrid, inthe Casadel Map of Murcia, the Municipal Archives of Caravaca de la Cruz and some private collections.
It also includes photographic prints of the City of the then town of Caravaca (Jaime Bort, 1747) and Capilladel Bath or Templete dela dela Santa Cruz (José López, 1762) copies.
Through this repertoire is possible to analyze the urban development of the city of Caravaca de la Cruz, especially following the opening of the Gran Vía in 1921. The coordinator is responsible for leading exhibition and guided tours with schools, Indalecio Pozo, explained that "in the planes appear localized civil and religious outstanding public buildings, industries, roads, plus major public infrastructure such as the route of the old network of drinking water, production centers, electrical, telephone, telegraph networks, etc. ".
