The Ministry of Education has strengthened its support to the Conservatory of Caravaca de la Cruz, increased by almost 30% contribution to the Autonomous Community intended to consolidate and improve the quality of training being provided at the center.
The mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and their counterparts in Cieza, Molina de Segura, Jumilla and San Javier yesterday held a meeting with the Minister of Education, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, to analyze the current needs of the conservatories and address initiatives to promote activity performed by students and closer to the whole population.
Measures will also be set to facilitate activities and meetings of students from conservatories with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region and other virtuoso musicians performing on a stage in the Region.
"This year we increased by 150,000 euros support from the Ministry of Education give municipal conservatories. This contribution to the current expenditure of these centers will help improve the conditions and quality of teaching music to enjoy," according to the Minister after the meeting.
At the Conservatory of Caravaca each year 1,500 teaching hours taught.
It has 205 students, to which must be added the children and youth enrolled in study designs distintitas the Municipal School of Music, reaching a figure close to 900 students.
The caravaqueño center offers a wide range of courses, ranging from the Musical Initiation and Dance for children up classes Piano, Guitar, Violin, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion and Singing and Musical Language teaching, Choir and Orchestra.
