The City and the Academy of Fine Arts strengthen ties with the signing of a cooperation agreement
The Plenary Hall of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has hosted this evening a special session of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Santa María de la Arrixaca of Murcia as a tribute to Rafael Tegeo.
During the event, there has been the launch of Martin Paez Burruezo dedicated to that caravaqueño artist, painter Elizabeth II and one of the most prominent portrait painters of the nineteenth century.
Also during this act has materialized a partnership with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz to strengthen relations, join hands and establish standards for joint action.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, and Academy president, Francisco Marín, noting the role of Rafael Tegeo in the history of Spanish art, have signed the agreement which has among its points of agreement conducting training activities and projects matter of Fine Arts.
The book "Rafael Tegeo. From classic theme to portrait romantic" was presented by academic Indalecio caravaqueño Pozo.
Has subsequently taken the word the deputy director of Academy and author of the work, Martín Páez.
In the more than two hundred pages that make up publication, published in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, a thorough study of the personality and work of the painter is performed, and the large impact that reached in environments art of the time.
For the author, Rafael Tegeo was "the most important portraitist of the early nineteenth century and his works are full of emotion and psychological liveliness".
