This experimental farm covers an area of ​​16 hectares for work demonstration and technology transfer dedicated to experimental plots with fruit, which are developing tests cultivation techniques and new species and varieties "that improve the quality of productions, expand calendars and have profitability, "said Martinez-Cache.
The climate of the Northwest region makes possible the introduction of new and more competitive for local agriculture varieties.
This area allows the introduction of crops such as cherry, walnut, persimmon, pistachio or black truffle, and earlier in almond and apricot production.
The objective is to obtain new products that export demand in a region such as the Northwest, which covers an area of ​​16,667 hectares of fruit.
