With the slogan "Your fun is out of a bottle," the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz is developing the third edition of the program to prevent underage alcohol consumption.
The campaign, part of the Municipal Plan of Drug Dependence, includes educational workshops in schools, talks with parents and disseminating it in local media.
"Once again we are developing this awareness campaign, with which we try to give pause to the youth of the harmful health effects and damage to the organic development of the consumption of alcohol, and show them ways of healthy leisure that have available "said the councilman of Youth, Maria Antonia Alvarez.
From the Department of Youth report that is not only to raise awareness and educate the youth of this age, but also to make a social awareness of the problem of first use of alcohol as young.
Studies indicate an age of onset than ever is earlier, about 13.7 years.
One of the actions of the campaign are the workshops in secondary schools with students of 2nd ESO (12-13 years), which are the direct age group to develop prevention, explaining what are the consequences of alcohol consumption age, and speaking of the myths that are associated with alcohol.
The campaign conducted last year by the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca has been selected by Santillana and included in one of the textbooks of the Community of Madrid within the materials that talk about drug prevention.
