The Department of Environment of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, in collaboration with non-profit entity Ecovidrio has new glass containers decorated with graffiti art.
Paint makers have been young people and professionals in this technique José Antonio López Zamora and Jesus Torraldo who have chosen different themes related to the environment.
"The containers have been decorated in the Paseo de La Corredera, coinciding with the market Pilgrim dedicated to the arts, and is now distributed by various parts of town", as explained by the Councillor for the Environment, Antonia Maria Alvarez Jorquera .
The mayor also noted that it has decided to continue with this initiative, after the good reception given by the caravaqueños when it launched the first phase last October, so the sets are now eight containers.
Among the objectives set by the Department of Environment with this initiative it is to continue encouraging citizens to recycle glass, thus drawing the attention of everyone, especially the smaller ones.
In addition, this action is accomplished by taking art to the streets and beautify the urban environment by changing the usual aesthetic, appreciating graffiti from a legal, original and artistic point.
