The Department of Environment of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has promoted various educational and informational initiatives with school children and the general public on the occasion of World Environment Day.
One was held in the pavilion area with the participation of over 200 students of the Cervantes, San Francisco and Our Lady of Consolation schools.
During the day they learned about the functions of the mobile eco-park, moved to this area, crafts were made with recycled materials and played goose Environment.
These activities were carried out with the collaboration of Abraham Generala Project and the company, which also distributed among passers pots.
The Department of Environment also came up activities to students in districts with another day of environmental awareness educational activities held in the natural setting of The Tosquillas Barranda.
The World Environment Day is a link through which the United Nations (UN) sensitizes the world's population in relation to environmental issues, intensifying political attention and action.
The main objectives are to encourage people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development;
promote the fundamental role of communities in changing attitudes towards environmental issues and to promote cooperation for environmentally sustainable, as this will ensure that all nations and peoples enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.
