Over seventy screenings of short films, documentaries and video art pieces make up the 5th International Short Film and Video Art "The Festivalico", promoted by the Cultural Art Association "The Jardinico", in collaboration with the Culture Department of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and other local sponsors.
The presentation ceremony was attended yesterday afternoon with the participation of the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno, and the councilman Oscar Garcia, who thanked the efforts of the association "The Jardinico" and the collaboration of all participants extensive program of activities.
"This event allows us to live three intense days of cinema in Caravaca and the City Council hope that the collaboration more common and can create a film club or film forum to further enhance the love of the seventh art throughout the year" said the mayor.
The exhibition will be held from 26 to 28 June in the theater Thuillier, with free access to all screenings that are part of the program.
Moreover, this festival is complemented by parallel, such as characterization workshop to be held on 27, from 10.30 to 14.00, taught by Professor Saray Diaz, who will be demonstrating some of the effects of cultural activities characterization carried out at the movies.
From 12.00 to 14.00, the workshop entitled "Where is the word cinema", in which the great classics of cinema shall delight reading his lines accompanied by the music of Antonio Fructuoso Pozo will be held.
The exhibition will open on Friday, June 26, in the theater Thuillier and the Pub Canterbury, with the screening of the first short films.
Another of the highlights will be in the pub Note, from 00.30 am on Saturday, with the screening of "Split!", A shortened version of the documentary on the Murcia musical scene by the caravaqueño Luiggi Garcia, who will accompanied by the concert of "The Good, the Bad and the Mena" Murcia group that mixes in his compositions as diverse styles such as pop, folk and psychedelia.
The activities will reach its end on Sunday at the theater Thuillier with the local branch of shorts and video art, which will enjoy works by caravaqueños.
