Caravaqueño guitarist Jesús Ortega offers a guitar recital tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, at 21.00 in the cloisters of the Royal Basilica of the Blessed and Vera Cruz.
During the concert, he will tour different musical periods of the Spanish guitar, from the Renaissance to the twentieth century avant own.
Ortega was born in 1995 in Caravaca de la Cruz.
At age 8 he began his studies at the School of Music at the hands of the teacher Lola Rodriguez and culminated in 2012 with the training at the Conservatory of Caravaca, with Mexican professor Erick Tinoco.
He has received classes guitarists as Cecilio Perera, Margarita Escarpment, Carmen Ros, Miguel Trápaga, Marco Smaili and Manuel Barrueco.
Currently, she is pursuing higher education courses at the Conservatory of Music "Oscar Esplá" of Alicante, under the tutelage of concert Ignacio Rodes.
Among the awards he has received this young caravaqueño along his short but intense career, emphasizes the National Prize for Art Education Education Professional Music with an excellent academic performance, awarded in 2014 by the Ministry of Culture.
It has also been the winner of the first prize "Between strings and brass" of Cartagena and the third at the International Guitar Festival Jijona.
The repertoire of the concert, whose access is free until full capacity, will consist of compositions: Fantasy 7 (John Dowland) Tribute to Toulouse-Lautrec (E. Sainz de la Maza), Prelude 3 (Heitor Villa-Lobos), Partita 1 (Stephen Dodgso) Compostelana Suite: Prelude-Coral-Muñeira (Frederic Mompou), Partita 1 (Stephen Dodgson) and three pieces of the Catalan school: Canço the Lladre, Tear, El Noi de la Mare (Llobet Tarrega).
