About forty students attend summer school and soup kitchen, which houses the municipal public school and kindergarten San Francisco during the school holidays.
This service has been promoted by the departments of Education, Youth and Social Services of the City of Caravaca and is coordinated by qualified Care Association Diversity "Adinor" monitors.
The mayor, José Moreno, and the mayor of Education and Youth, Esther Poveda, have positively assessed the functioning of the school and dining during the visit to students and instructors.
They have also thanked the cooperation of schools, Caritas and Red Cross, for disseminating this activity among families with socioeconomic problems, and the support of sports "Argos" by giving free use of the pool during the month of July.
The school and soup kitchen, in addition to offering the "healthy lunch" and a balanced meal, allows children not to lose the rhythm of the school year, to strengthen the different kinds of subjects taught in a fun way.
Students have, thus, a leisure, fun and meet other children.
Monitors "Adinor", reinforced by trainees Course Monitor Leisure Time, carry out a full program of recreational and educational activities, which affects the values ​​of coexistence and improving capabilities such as motor, through games and crafts.
Water activities are also scheduled during July in sports facilities "Argos" and in August, in the swimming pool.
A school and soup kitchen attending elementary students, aged between 3 and 12 years during the summer period had no access to school meal service.
