The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the 'Puente Molino' operation, to pursue drug trafficking in Caravaca de la Cruz, which has culminated in the arrest of one person and seizure of 1,500 doses of cocaine, half a kilogram of cutting substance and 7,000 euros in cash.
In mid-April, after finding small caches enabled on the premises of the elevator of a building of Caravaca de la Cruz, where various amounts of cocaine and useful for drug trafficking were hiding, the Meritorious initiated the investigation in order to clarify the crimes and arrest its author.
The evidence obtained during the investigation guided the policemen to a citizen of Colombian nationality who resided in the building where the drug was found.
Shortly after it was found that the suspect allegedly was selling the substance retail.
After obtaining the necessary evidence and prior judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has conducted the exploitation phase of the transaction with the entry and search of the house where the suspect resides and local entertainment that it ran, carrying out his arrest on suspicion of a crime against public health, in its aspect of drug trafficking.
During the course of the operation, the Civil Guard have seized 1,500 doses of cocaine and 500 grams of cutting substance used to adulterate cocaine doses and thus multiply and various tools related to drug trafficking, such as scales precision, several rolls of wire, mobile phones and a laptop.
They have also seized 7,000 euros in cash attributed to the illegal activity of the now stopped.
Hideouts in elevator shafts
When installing the elevator of the building where he lived had enabled a number of small hidden caches where both the drug as useful for traffic, and thus sought to avoid being detected by its neighbors as much by the Civil Guard.
The Colombian arrested, aged 42, resident in Caravaca de la Cruz and with a history of similar offenses, drugs and seized property, and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia ).
