PSRM general secretary and spokesman of the Socialist Group in the Regional Assembly, Rafael González Tovar, met with the socialist mayor of Bullas, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Mula and Jumilla.
The main issues discussed were: the construction of the Northern Highway, not including payments Northwest Highway regionalised budgets as investment and the declaration of the regions of the Northwest and the "free Fracking" Altiplano.
At its meeting in Calasparra, socialist mayors discussed the need for the Community to urgently start the construction of the Northern Highway, a communication channel paralyzed by the PP government, which will serve to relieve heavy traffic between Andalusia and Levante it passes through the region of Murcia.
In addition, the Socialists again demanded that construction costs of operation and maintenance of the Northwest Highway territorialized spending in regional budgets for the municipalities of Caravaca, Cehegín, Bullas and Mula are excluded.
Moreover, Rafael González Tovar demanded the regional government to urgently convene the Constituent Assembly of the Regional Federation of Municipalities, which considers the true body representing municipalities, after another failure of so-called "Council of Mayors" , which, nor the current president Sánchez, or the previous Valcarcel, they equipped with true content of municipal interest.
