The Director General of Women, Alicia Barquero, has moved this morning to Caravaca de la Cruz for a meeting with the Councillor for Social Services, Maria Jose Soria, and meet the staff and facilities of the Center of Attention to Women Victims of Violence (CAVI) and plan further action on prevention.
After the meeting, the representatives of local and regional government have reported that CAVI of Caravaca de la Cruz has served so far this year to 61 new users and has led to 29 cases Psychological Service to Children.
Last year 2014 were a hundred women attended.
"The CAVI is staffed by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a social worker, a lawyer and a psychologist, who perform individualized and group care to help users overcome the consequences of abuse, providing them with social skills and psychological balance necessary for it ", as the mayor recalled Maria Jose Soria, who also referred to the need to promote new initiatives in prevention and awareness, as the workshops in secondary schools.
For its part, the general director of Women has highlighted the work of the CAVI of Caravaca de la Cruz since 2006, "it is the pioneer in the region of Murcia and is currently integrated into the Regional Center Network Care (CAVI), with the municipalities of the Northwest Region and scope ".
