The "quality maps in the historic center of Caravaca de la Cruz" is presented tomorrow, Thursday 29, at 20.30 at the House of Culture Emilio Sáez.
This work is aimed to contribute to the revitalization of the old part of the town.
To do this, a multidisciplinary team consisting of 8 professional, has conducted a detailed field work and data analysis.
Thus, during the morning presentation will be announced the work done in recent months and the conclusions thereof.
The project has been funded with the amount of 66,450 euros, 54,920 euros of which belong to European funds "Leader" program.
"Quality maps in the historic center of Caravaca de la Cruz" has assessed, among other aspects, the quality and decoration of houses, emphasizing the elements of interest to preserve in time and the distorting aspects of the facades added over the years.
The work done has allowed to provide the City of Caravaca de la Cruz of a major database for decision-making in the development of strategic infrastructure projects and public facilities.
Another objective underlying this study was to sensitize and educate the population about the current state of this area, determining its many benefits and deficiencies and needs.
In addition to the urban and architectural tasks, it has carried out a social, economic and demographic study, as they are also evaluated aspects such as age and sex of the population, housing occupancy rate, ownership, types of use of commercial premises, accessibility, and so on.
To do this, it has become a participant to the population of the historic center, collecting their opinions on needs and improvement measures, through surveys.
