Caravaca de la Cruz welcomes tomorrow, Thursday, December 3, the V Regional Local History Day, promoted by the Foundation Center for Historical Studies and Local Research in the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and Seneca foundations, Integra and Payá Pérez-Crespo.
The activity will begin at 20.00 pm in the House of Culture Emilio Sáez, with the round table "Local history, heritage and education", in which the participation of the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz is scheduled Jose Brown;
Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Oscar Martinez;
Professor of History at the caravaqueño John of the Cross Institute, Jesus Lopez and historical researcher Juan Antonio Martinez.
The table will be moderated by the chronicler of the Region of Murcia, José Antonio Melgares.
The event organized on the occasion of the V Regional Day of Local History will also serve to announce the call three contests and prizes: "Images and sounds of our heritage", "Research" and "historical account", the latter developed by the Foundation Center Local Studies and Historical Research in the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the City of Caravaca and Payá Pérez Crespo Foundation.
One of the main purposes of the Foundation Center for Local Studies and Historical Research in the Region of Murcia is to ensure the promotion and development of men and women through historical culture as an instrument of liberation and generator supportive attitudes and values .
