In order to promote volunteering in the city, the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has developed the first call for a course of social action in free time, which was attended by 22 students.

This initiative is part of the Training Plan and Non-Formal Education, which develops the aforementioned Department throughout the year, through workshops, activities and courses.

"During the twelve hours of teaching, has sought to motivate young people to cooperate with associations, groups and entities charitable through volunteering, transmitting the many benefits and positive values ​​that provides both personal and social," he stressed the mayor Esther Poveda, head of the municipal department of Youth and Education.

The program contents, taught by instructors from the training school 'El Molino', consisted of an introduction to volunteering and its legal framework;

the account of experiences of young people and voluntary exercise, exposure of new methodologies, techniques and resources in this field.

The course has had 22 students, as most monitors Leisure and Recreation of Caravaca de la Cruz and Bullas, Cehegín and Moratalla.

Program 'Youth Correspondents'

The City of Caravaca da Cruz adheres to the 'Youth Correspondents' program, which promotes the Department of Youth of the region.
