About 2.5 million users have transited the Northwest Greenway since the 'ecocontadores' were installed in April 2012
With the aim of improving the pilgrimage routes that run through the interior of the Murcia region facing the Jubilee Year 2017, they have adopted several measures to improve and expand the network of greenways.

In 2017, in the region will also open to the public the new Greenways del Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, which have a distance of over 65 kilometers and will link the southern part of the Northwest Region Murcia, adding to the current 78 kilometers the Northwest Greenway running between Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz.

2.5 million users in the Northwest Greenway
Since the ecocontadores launched in April 2012, and until December 2014, about 2.5 million users have transited the Northwest Greenway.
The Northwest Greenway, flows through the old railway line between Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz in use since 1971. It has a mixed type of firm along its 78 kilometers, which are used by pedestrians, cyclists and riders;
13 rest areas and 10 viaducts and 6 tunnels.
This itinerary offers an important part of the natural and cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia.
En route there are seven shelters, five of which take advantage of the old railway stations.
