The headquarters of the Academy of Fine Arts St. Mary of the Arrixaca, located in Murcia Diaz Cassou House, welcomes tomorrow, Thursday, at 19.30, the presentation of the book "Joseph Carrilero. From neofiguration toward a new classicism".
The publication is the work of academic Martin Paez and consists of ten chapters on the highlights of artistic and personal biography of caravaqueño sculptor, illustrated with numerous images that show the constant evolution of his work.
José Carrilero has received during his career the 'Grand Prix de Rome', and the National Sculpture Award, among other honors.
He is Fellow of the Academy of Fine Arts St. Mary of the Arrixaca member and in 2009 was awarded the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia.
The artist donated more than 50 works to Caravaca de la Cruz, now on permanent display in the palace of the Muñoz family Otarola, his birthplace, which is accessed by the square that also bears his name.
