Bethlehem City of Caravaca de la Cruz remains exposed in the church of San José, on Calle Mayor, until next January 7.
The traditional blessing took place on Friday night, by the episcopal vicar Mondejar Jesus Aguilar, accompanied by the mayor, José Moreno;
the older sister of the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Giron, and the mayors of Celebration and Tourism, Oscar Martinez and Gloria Gomez, respectively.
The voices of the choir of the Holy Cross, recently recovered, entertained the act, under the direction of sister Catherine Choi Consolation and singing teacher Conservatory, Maximum Zarco.
The municipal Bethlehem is composed of more than 200 pieces, polychrome and Hebrew style, made by renowned craftsman Jesus Grin Murcia.
The composition is enriched with many buildings of Isabel Tornero, allowing narrate the main scenes of the Nativity, as "The Annunciation of the Virgin", "Asking Posada", "The Annunciation to the Shepherds", "The Portal" or " The Flight into Egypt, "among others.
Bethlehem City of Caravaca de la Cruz has been awarded several times in the Contest Crib Murcia, getting first prize in any of their calls.
The opening hours are from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00.
On 24 December (afternoon) December 25, December 31 (evening), January 1, January 5 (afternoon) and January 6 will be closed to the public.
