Responsible of Caritas in Caravaca de la Cruz have received from the mayor, Jose Moreno, and the councilman of Social Services, Maria Jose Soria, grants that the City granted the organization of aid to the most needy.
The City Council allocated 18,000 euros annually to Caritas, an amount that is paid in two installments, at the end and beginning of the year.
This financial aid is for the purchase of perishable foods, which come complete batch received from the National Food Fund and to meet other basic needs of vulnerable families and / or social exclusion.
The mayor said that "it is important that public events are held like this for citizens to know the quiet work, but essential, carried out by volunteers from the three delegations of Caritas based in the municipality."
