The permanent delegation of the Proyecto Hombre Foundation in Caravaca de la Cruz served 122 people with problems related to different types of addiction during 2015. Of the total number of users who passed through the local office, 40 were provided with individualized attention and 25 began a group treatment.
In addition, as noted by the Councillor for Social Services and Health in caravaqueño consistory, Maria Jose Soria, last year he was offered specialized help a total of 47 family members, who were shown tools and instruments to assist in the patient recovery, as well as emotional support.
Similarly, it is noteworthy that 8 users have been discharged therapy, finalizing the proposed treatment and to meet all the objectives.

In these specific cases, therapists develop a program with highly personalized service, both users and their families to provide tools that deal with potential conflict situations in order to tackle the problems sooner consumption these young people.
The main objective of the collaboration agreement that the City of Caravaca has with Proyecto Hombre is that the neighbors who have an addiction problem will not be forced to travel to Murcia to receive specialized treatment, but can do it in the town itself, and the proximity is a determining factor for people not leaving the treatment they need.
Besides individualized attention at the headquarters Caravaca takes place the so-called outpatient program, aimed at people who, having addiction problems, retain a stable personal and family situation.
122 people attended, 7 had problems with pathological gambling and the rest were associated with alcohol dependence, polydrug cocanía or both substances.
The profile of those attending treatment programs is diverse, both in the type of addiction that have, as their employment status, marital status, or educational level, since up to 29% have secondary or university studies.
Man Project headquarters in Caravaca de la Cruz is located on the first floor of the Municipal Center for Employment, Training and Equal, on the street Diego Cortés, facing the garden of the Cejo.
Its opening to the public is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 15.00 to 22.00, and Friday, from 10.00 to 13.00.
