Organic waste is destined for fertilizer and cans and bottles were recycled
The Food Safety Service of the Directorate General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health has confirmed the completion of the cleanup of the ship of the company Falcon Foods in Campos del Río, who last August began.
After verifying the poor condition of the goods stored in these facilities and meet the relevant permits, technical Service for Food Safety and Zoonoses they determined freeze and confiscate the goods, whose removal work ended on November 24.
The amount total withdrawal of the ship amounted to 3,256 tons of cans, glass and plastic packaging containing organic material.
To perform these tasks were used and 152 journeys were traveled 4,716 kilometers between the ship and dump Cañada Hermosa, where they proceeded to compost organic waste according to environmental regulations and recycling of packaging.
Once the task of removal of material at the end of November, proceeded to clean the ship to leave it free of debris that could cause nuisance to neighbors or contaminate the environment.
