The Association of Guilds of Holy Week in Caravaca de la Cruz decided to appoint Juan Fernández Robles as preacher of the Holy Week of 2016. The choice was made unanimously by all the members of the group and was reported last night the mayor, Jose Moreno, and the council of Celebration, Oscar Martinez, during a meeting in the Consistory.
The reading of the proclamation will take place on Sunday, March 13, after the celebration of the Eucharist of midnight in the parish church of El Salvador.
Juan Fernandez is a correspondent for The Truth, coordinator of the news portal 'Soy de Caravaca' and collaborator Telecaravaca, where he directs and presents the talk show "The Skylight".
Teacher by profession and vocation, began in the journalistic work as a correspondent for Diario16Murcia, in 1989;
seven years later, in 1996, he was appointed correspondent for The Truth in Caravaca, a task that continues to play today, with the direction of the program "Skylight" on local television.
He has been a collaborator of the weekly "The West" and collaborated in different publications nationally and Marca, Mundo Deportivo, Sport Base and New Town.
He has directed several years the magazine Party which annually publishes the Commission of Celebrations of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Blessed and Vera Cruz de Caravaca, an institution that has been Member of the Media and Volunteer and Youth repeatedly.
The preacher of the Holy Week of 2016 was the brother of the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno for several years and has worked in various activities organized by the Association of Guilds of Holy Week.
Part, as representative of the Focolare Movement, the Group of Christian Families of Caravaca, in which representatives from all the parishes of the town and different associations, movements and ecclesial presence in the city are;
group for over ten years has been organizing the Days of the Family.
In his career as festive, Juan Fernandez belongs to Almorávides Kabyle was president of Bando Moro from 2003 to 2005 and participated in organizational tasks as member and as an active member on the side in the Commission Celebrations of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood Santisima y Vera Cruz de Caravaca.
It is part of several cultural associations such as "Unity and Fraternity" and "John of the Cross".
