At the initiative of the Section of Caravaca Karate Sports Center (CDC) and the Department of Sports City of Caravaca, next weekend I will celebrate the City Karate Trophy Caravaca preceded by a skills course competition.
Without a doubt, the highlight of this activity both for the fans of this sport to the general public will be assisted by the great Antonio Oliva Seba, 8 th Dan, and José Manuel Egea, four times world champion and twelve in Europe .
During the day Saturday, March 29, will be held in Hall Juan Antonio Corbalan during Karate Competition Techniques, which are expected to attend at least fifty of this martial art enthusiasts.
The instructor will be Antonio Oliva, a pioneer in the practice of karate in Spain and charged with directing numerous courses and seminars for many countries.
At 10.00 pm on Sunday, I will start the City Karate Trophy Caravaca, also in the Juan Antonio Corbalan, with the presence of teams of Valencia, Alicante, Murcia and Castilla la Mancha.
The competition will take place in the Junior category (14 to 15 years) teams.
Admission will be free to fill seats.
Karate-related activities in the municipality will continue over the coming months of June and September for more training courses led by recognized experts in the martial art.
One of them will be given by the sensei Hiroshi Shirai, chairman of the Technical Committee of the International Federation of Shotokan Karate.
"The Cat" nickname which is familiar with this Japanese athlete, is 9 th Dan, just level it shares with two other people in the world in the style called Shotokan.
The Department of Sport aims to support those activities work with Caravaca Sports Center on the task of encouraging the practice of this martial art and sport in general, including caravaqueños.
For several months the CDC has a section in karate with over 30 students divided into the categories of children, youth and adult.
