Today, Monday, begins the summer course for Restoration, Management and Communication Built Heritage organized by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena with the assistance of the City of Caravaca.
The course, in its sixth year, continues to contribute to interdisciplinary training of professionals involved in the process of restoration and conservation of heritage, establishing itself as an open forum for discussion, debate and exchange of ideas and experiences between specialists, professionals and students . 'The main objective is to facilitate and encourage technical and scientific debate about heritage, "said course director, Pedro Enrique Collado.
In the sessions scheduled will analyze the latest trends in intervention and management of Cultural Heritage, with special attention to current legislation and the new Law on Cultural Heritage in the Region of Murcia.
Also address the importance of developing master plans in the monuments, and consider the implementation of various restoration and conservation projects.
As examples, explains the recent interventions in the Church of the Conception of Caravaca de la Cruz, with a tour of the works, at the Palacio de San Esteban, Murcia, and in different churches of Xativa with the exhibition 'The Light of Images'.
In this sixth edition is likewise worthy of inclusion in the course of lectures on building materials and protection of business risk prevention in the process of restoration and conservation in the structural use of plaster in historic architecture and the type and characteristics of current resources and equipment used in all these processes of recovery and valorization of Cultural Heritage, among others.
The course is aimed at architects, historians, lawyers in Fine Arts and in general to all those interested in the preservation and dissemination of built heritage.
