The Youth Council has opted for the third consecutive year on the initiative "Healthy Travel" to prevent the use of snuff among young people in the municipality.
The program rewarded with a trip to the students of 4 th of ESO not to smoke or not start in consumption during the months of the program.
In this third edition of the competition will participate 36 young people from secondary schools in the municipalities, which have signed a personal commitment to quit snuff or may not become a smoker.
Thus, as reported Informajoven service technicians, "if during a participant smokes the competition will be the organization who assess whether the student has to follow within the program or not, allowing, at best cases, a single relapse if it occurs in the first month. "
With the entry into the contest, participants also are committed to undergo the necessary medical examinations and tests (test coximetría and cotinine) and to attend scheduled talks and therapies.
The program began with a briefing aimed at both youth participants and their parents who have participated in the Youth Council Member, Maria Antonia Alvarez and the doctor in charge of coordinating the program, Juan Antonio Martínez Lozano.
During the briefing phases were reviewed and objectives of this program implemented as a pioneer by the City of Caravaca.
"Prevention, education and leisure is the formula for success of this initiative because we believe that talks are not enough and we must encourage more young people, in this case a trip to participate in a trade or Youth Summit, "said the mayor of Youth.
