With the traditional ceremony of blessing of the Nativity, set this time in the church of San José, and the tree lighting will start next Friday Christmas program of the City of Caravaca.

The blessing will be preceded by a parade by the Band of the Conservatory that will depart at 19.00 from the square Elliptical.

"We designed a calendar of activities for all ages, although they have a special role for those children," reported the Councillor for Tourism and Celebrations, Gonzalo López-Auguy, presentation of the Christmas activities.

Among the children's activities include a series of plays and musicals including such titles as "Shalamba", "Cyrano de Bergerac", "Piper" or "conceited little rat."

There are other events designed for children as the contest "The Bethlehem City Council, the funfair, the Christmas meeting and the Three Kings.

One of the highlights of the schedule is the New Shanghai Circus, which will represent the show in two passes in the theater Thuillier on 3 January.

The performance of the New Shanghai Circus was scheduled for last October, but rain forced the Department of Festivities to postpone until early this year internationally renowned production.

The New Shanghai Circus is made up of over 35 young dancers, acrobats, jugglers, and contortionists, with an impressive display of talent and technical plasticity.

But before the show the New Shanghai Circus, other activities are planned as staged on 13 December at 1930 hours the mystery of Christmas in the convent of Santa Clara or the "Anthology of Zarzuela" by Emilio Lyric Thuillier Company on 19 December.

Within the range of concerts, to name a few as to be held on December 20 of the Santa Elena coral formed by users of the Center for Senior Day caravaca, the baroque music of Advent December 21 organized by the Knights of Navarra Association or the New Year's Concert of the Musical Association Caravaca de la Cruz on January 2.
