Caravaca City Council has been awarded first prize in the Association Bethlehem in the Region of Murcia.
The Councillor for Tourism and Celebrations, Gonzalo López-Auguy, now collect the award at a ceremony held today, Friday in the auditorium of the Caja de Ahorros de Murcia Mediterranean at 20.00.
They also received first prizes of the crib installed at the Institute of Secondary Education San Juan de la Cruz, in the education mode, and the crib Sanjuanist Bando group of Christian Knights of St John of Jerusalem.
He received a second prize school El Salvador in category learning centers.
The Bethlehem City Council consists of over 170 static and moving figures, made by artisan Jesus Nativity scenes Griñán Murcia.
The figures, Hebrew style, are made of mud, using canvas for the robes, turbans and jackets.
The Bethlehem complete with 15 buildings of the artisan Isabel Turner, among which the castle of Herod, the inn, the temple and the palace.
All supplements have been decorated by craftsmen.
This year Bethlehem is installed in the church of San José del former Carmelite Convent of the Mothers in the main street, and occupies an area of 60 square meters.
