The Museum Project is a pioneering initiative in the Region, which aims to bring students to the art world
The Public School opened today Cervantes center space dedicated to the artist Joan Miró in an event which with the presence of the Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sánchez, and teachers and students who have participated in developing this initiative.
The event was enlivened by the Miró Quartet, formed by professors María Rosa sang, Marta Martínez, Manuel Montiel and Juan Antonio Jiménez.
Professor Valentin Muñoz, whose retirement is close, has been responsible for cutting the tape of the room.
This activity ends the phase of the Museum devoted to the painter, engraver and sculptor Joan Miro.
One year some of the students of Cervantes has studied the life and work of one of the leading exponents of the current Spain surreal.
The Councillor for Education, in his speech, encouraged to continue with this pioneering project in the Region of Murcia.
The Museum Project is an initiative that grew out of teachers college in 2003/2004 Cervantes to bring the students to the art world and gradually turn the corridors and classrooms of the school in an art museum.
The project also has a caring side, as the funds raised with presentations of the work was intended for non-profit organizations with ties to Caravaca de la Cruz and providing aid to children in disadvantaged areas.
Since it was launched this project Cervantes school students have studied the life and work of artists like Dali, Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Gauguin, Picasso and Goya.
