Indonesia's ambassador in Spain, Slamet Santoso Mustafa, has donated to the Museum of Ethnic Music Jegog Barranda a spectacular orchestra, composed of some thirty instruments made of bamboo polychrome.
The donation received in the morning the mayor, Domingo Aranda, the council of Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy, and the director of the Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda, Carlos Blanco, who have devoted some warm words of thanks to Indochinese government for this gift that completes one of the musical instrument collections in the world.
The director of the Museum of Music has explained that this is the only group of its kind exotic is in Europe.
"It is a jewel of exceptional value, consisting of large instruments," said Blanco Fadol musicologist.
For its part, the mayor wanted to thank the Ambassador of Indonesia for his important contribution to the museum, bringing the legacy of White Faldol instrument collection.
Slamet Santoso said that is Barranda Museum with its collection of instruments from different countries and ethnic groups in the world, "a reflection of world culture and a space that conveys unity and peace through musical sounds."
Due to the large size of the orchestra, the museum will permanently display four of the thirty pieces that make up the composition.
