The City of Caravaca, through its Department of Tourism, will promote the Holy Year 2010 in TURISMUR 2009 with its own stand which will release the main attractions of the municipality.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, and the Councillor for Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy, attend morning at 12.00 hours at the opening of this exhibition of tourism and leisure to be held in the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions IFEPA of Torre Pacheco.
Caravaca de la Cruz will have in this edition of Turismur a significant role, because it will have its own space within the area dedicated to tourism in the Region of Murcia.
Specifically, it will install a stand of 100 m2, which is present all the tourist attractions of the municipality, with special emphasis on the next Holy Year 2010.
The stand, which will be very similar to that presented in the last edition of FITUR, will be central to a large replica of the Holy and Vera Cruz and large format images of the facade of the Basilica.
They will also be in Turismur 'The Pilgrim', the characters designed to promote the next Holy Year.
From the municipal department of Tourism will provide the stand with different promotional material (tourist guides, brochures monumental specific routes, natural areas, in honor of the Holy Cross, etc.).
Another attraction of Caravaca booth will be free tastings of traditional buds.
Moreover, Commonwealth Travel Services Northwest IFEP presented tomorrow at the First Meeting of Tourism Professionals.
It is an event with which it is intended that the various municipalities in the Northwest increasing awareness of the possibilities and tourism resources at their disposal in order to cover the expected demand generated by the Holy Year 2010.
Over the coming months will be scheduled several lectures, conferences and round tables with participation of leading travel trade, media, tourism companies and groups that discuss issues of great interest to the future of tourism in the Northwest Region.
