The City Council has begun the installation of underground containers in the town for separate collection.
The top two teams endowed with three boxes for paper, plastic and glass, are located in the plaza Egido and the House of Culture Emilio Sáez.
In addition, the Department of Environment is planning to put another three points underground containers in Cartagena Street, Friars Square Garden and elliptical plaza.
The Directorate General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water 120,000 euros subsidize the installation of the five underground containers.
The mayor of the Environment, Antonia M ª Álvarez, has referred to some of the advantages to installing infrastructure such as improved hygiene and accessibility for people with mobility problems.
"In addition to favoring the collection and look better by reducing the visual impact," he added.
