The winners of Caravaca ArteJoven organized by the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca have participated in the youth meeting WOA (Week of Arts), held in Finland.
During the trip the young caravaqueños, artistic high school students at IES San Juan de la Cruz, have attended workshops on painting, music, crafts, film and theater along with other students from Bulgaria, Hungary and Finland.
The activity, in the words of the councilman of Youth, has helped young people enhance their creativity through new experiences and exchange ideas with art lovers from other European countries.
"Irene Fatima Orcajo, Juan de Dios Morenilla, Juan de la Cerda and Alejandro Torralba have represented Spain at the meeting, showing their artistic skills in workshops and holiday exchanges," said Antonia M ª Álvarez, while it has secured to be convened ArteJoven new editions of the competition due to good results.
With the assistance ArteJoven the Youth Council opens a new line of work aimed at fostering the artistic caravaqueña youth.
The festival's objectives is to support local artists at an early age, creating links between them and promoting their work.
