The old church of the Society of Jesus accepts the Easter Show brings together Caravaca thrones, holding pictures, banners and robes of various guilds.
The exhibition was inaugurated at last night by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by the President of the Association of Guilds of Holy Week, Gil López.
The ceremony was also attended by the elder brother, Jose Luis Guerrero, the council of Culture and Tourism, Maria Cruz Pérez and Gonzalo López-Auguy, the harbinger of Easter, Alfonso de la Cruz López, as well as older siblings of the brotherhoods.
This exhibition allows the third consecutive year we enjoy the rich heritage of Easter Caravaca with images of high artistic quality as The Sorrow and The Arrest, attributed to Salzillo School and Our Lady of Sorrows, the work of artist caravaqueño Mark Labonte.
The main innovations of this year, we highlight the Christ of the balcony, recently renovated in Murcia by a grant from the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, and the throne of the brotherhood of 'The Moraos', that will carry to Veronica and has been done by our brothers and sisters of the Guild.
Moreover, other developments are also exposed to the throne as the skirt of the Virgin of Solitude and the banners of the guilds 'The Coloraos' and 'The Moraos'.
