Caravaca City Council and the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers renewed partnership arrangements related to the tasks of information, prevention and control of events and possible emergency situations that the association has been doing in the municipality.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, and the president of Civil Protection in Caravaca, Pedro Antonio Muñoz, today signed two agreements.
Under these agreements, Civil Protection and will serve to inform tourists arriving in Caravaca de la Cruz over the weekend, standing in areas close to the Plaza del Arco and the Basilica de la Vera Cruz.
Similarly, the association will continue to make available to the local administration of its volunteers to assist in the activities and events organized in the city and may be involved in any incident that may arise.
For its part, the City subsidizes the association 12,000 euros to cover expenses associated with insurance and travel.
The role of Civil Protection will be greater during the coming Holy Year 2010, as it will increase cooperation in the organization and development of major events to be hosted in the city, as happened during past celebrations, when he traveled to Caravaca volunteers from the various municipalities in the region.
Both the mayor and the president of Civil Protection have stressed that the device displayed the past holiday was a very positive experience and will be a system that will be repeated next year given the good results obtained.
