In November 2007, the socialist municipal group filed an initiative with the document included, to give this town a Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction.

In the words of Socialist spokesman Alfonso Sanchez: "We consider the urgent implementation of municipal drug plan into reality with which we are, and that the rules themselves obliged to do so in the municipalities of over 20,000 inhabitants, as in our case ". Despite the two years that have elapsed since the government team undertook to develop the new document is now presented for adoption, it has certain shortcomings, so to improve it and hoping that succeed both approved their application, the socialist municipal group has submitted the following amendments to improve drug plan and achieve the maximum consensus on such an important project.

Reference is made to the basic regulatory framework that affects you and that is to be governed by this Plan, with particular reference to the Law on Drugs, for the prevention, care and social integration in the Region of Murcia, which states that "the municipalities of over 20,000 people in the Region of Murcia, have among their responsibilities and minimum responsibilities: The adoption of municipal plans drug, developed in coordination and in accordance with the criteria and guidelines of the Regional Plan on Drugs."

Coodinación the inclusion of the PLAN OF HEALTH EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS 2005-2010, both in education, but families and communities, with the following objectives:

Assist in training and participation of teachers in the field of drug prevention and health education.

Provide expertise and advice to the cooperation of the APAS to the teaching field in the implementation of education programs for health.

Enabling and inculcate the students to acquire knowledge in health, healthy behaviors and modify those that are harmful.

Coordinate educational activities and problems in schools with the relevant authorities through the Responsible Health Education Centers and Heads of Health Education and Health Hall.

To be added in addition to those listed, the following specific objectives to strengthen the necessary cooperation and leadership of the local police and other security:

Effective control of truancy on pupils of compulsory school age.

Surveillance in the vicinity of schools.

Watch where it is presumed that there may be drug use and trafficking.
