The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today introduced the series 'A Barranda Moon' by the Councillor for Culture of Caravaca de la Cruz, Maria Cruz Perez, the coordinator of the cycle, Toni Tordecilla, and the Museum Director Ethnic Music Barranda, Carlos Blanco Fadol.
Programming cycle, to be held in the courtyard of the Museum of Ethnic Music on Saturdays from July 4 to September 5, the shape both regional and national groups and international organizations, among which the performances of Martirio, Carmen Paris, Sole Jimenez and Graham Foster, among others.
In addition, it will be two concerts caravaqueños tribute to José Antonio Martínez, 'Points', 29 August, and Mari Trini on Saturday September 5, which concludes the cycle.
The general director said, "This completes the business cycle of this museum, which is a reference in the international arena in terms of musical instruments, and musical activities that take place in Barranda throughout the year."
'A barred moon', which was in last year with over 5,000 attendees, will begin with 'Oshun', to be held the night of San Juan and will consist of a spectacle of rhythm and movement by the Cuban dancer and choreographer Mariela Peña, accompanied by sixteen percussionists.
Concerts begin at 22:30 hours with free admission to all seats.
The series kicks off July 4 with Sole Jiménez, July 11, El Caracol Walker, July 18, North Sea, July 25, Cristobal Gálvez, August 1, Graham Foster, August 8, Caro Ceice; 15 August, Martyrdom, August 22, Carmen Paris, 29 August, José Antonio Martínez tribute to 'The Point', and September 5, tribute to Mari Trini.
