In its five editions over 12,000 people have participated in this activity of the summer nights
The nocturnal visits to the Castle and Church of the Vera Cruz takes us to the splendor of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment of the hand of leading characters in the story and the legend of Caravaca.
The Marqués de los Vélez, accompanied by relatives and servants, will star in the theatrical run for the fifth consecutive year that take place during the summer nights.
Over the past five years, more than 12,000 people have participated in nightly visits to the Castle organized by Jubilee Caravaca, with the collaboration of the Department of Tourism of the City of Caravaca.
This year is expected to repeat the success of previous editions with an innovative course that combines fun and historical components.
The director of museums, Indalecio Pozo, has been advanced that "the story takes place in two different eras but equally important for the history of Caravaca: The Early Renaissance and the Enlightenment, two key moments that stand out as periods of expansion and modernity in history of Spain and that means the emergence of new air and neglect of the Middle Ages and the ancien regime. "
The stage will be the wonderful and spectacular fortress and basilica, but changing the routes monumental historical content and the characters involved and weave the visit in each of the two historical reference.
For this occasion, the activity will be guided and interpreted by the Marqués de los Vélez, accompanied by relatives and servants, and a singular Farce Comedy in command of its director Don Antonio Valladar, historical characters who are prominent in the history of Caravaca especially with regard to history and legend of the Cross of Caravaca.
Don Pedro and Don Antonio Chacón Fajardo Valladar, along with his followers, are the basic drivers of activity and key guidelines exceptional monument, but they also need the participation of people visit us every night, as they are understood, not merely as passive listeners and explanations, but as major players and essential to develop this unique cultural and tourist product.
Every night except Mondays, from 17 July to 30 August from 22.00 these quirky characters await you at the Castillo de Caravaca de la Cruz to caravaqueños and visitors wishing to enjoy an evening suitable for different everyone.
