About 30 people from the hamlet of La Encarnación caravaqueña have participated in workshops for the Promotion of Domestic Distribution of Responsibilities organized jointly last May by the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, through the Plan Training 2009, and the city of Caravaca.
Among the workshops developed Learning highlights the housework.
In this workshop, 12 men worked on the difference between male and female roles, as well as performing household chores for greater involvement in household tasks and a balanced distribution of work.
For his part, 18 women learned in other workshops, tasks traditionally executed men in the home, such as home repairs, plumbing, painting, electricity and housing maintenance, among others.
Finally, the students in both workshops has participated in a roundtable jointly reflect on the roles traditionally assigned to each sex.
Also, men and women suggested strategies to promote the sharing of domestic responsibilities and family knew the resources provided by the regional administration to promote reconciliation of work and family life.
