Statement submitted by the Socialist Group:
We have observed that at least in so far this summer is pretty sloppy ride from Orchard Road around the stretch of land, which is usual at this time.
The hedge and other jardinaría is hardly care and without replacing the pieces that have lost has not been watered almost nothing and the ride itself is quite dusty.
This is joining the remains of the odd bottle in summer usually occurs in this place, also calling attention to the result of an act of vandalism which often victims secure bins or a lamppost.
No need to remember the importance of Orchard Road as a place of entertainment par excellence of the resort, along with the sources of the marquis, and that in summer is especially important taking advantage of the low hours of sun and night to walk off in the heat of town.
Although the ditch Sources runs along the promenade, so that water does not cost anything obvious that many plants are having serious difficulties due to lack of irrigation. Furthermore, if given a week or two light irrigation to the ground floor, it would cool and improve the environment, which certainly appreciate what the residents and visitors.
Apart from the above, it would be minimal deterrent monitoring local police, mostly coinciding with the busiest times of youth, to remember and if necessary apply the provisions of the Public Security Ordinance (adopted in late 2007) , particularly as regards the respect of parks and gardens, and the penalties they may face.
Finally, we highlight the risk posed by the dry grass is quite high and is filled with all the adjacent property to walk around the top edge.
A part of the unhealthiness which can represent, could easily turn someone throw a cigarette butt.
Therefore, according to spokesman Alfonso Sanchez, municipal officials ask that efforts be made to:
Are adequately addressed and watered the gardens and the walk itself, and the elimination of dry grass along the promenade.
That there is minimal oversight by the local police in times of greater affluence and where appropriate.
